Hsinchu, February 26, 2025 — WNC, a leading provider of communications solutions, will participate in MWC 2025 in Barcelona. In response to the growing demand for high-speed connectivity due to the development of AI technologies, WNC will present advanced communications technologies and high-speed connectivity solutions, including small cells, an AI slim server and an 800G switch. Other product highlights include AI-powered value-added software and Wi-Fi sensing applications, which expand product applications in areas such as home security and health monitoring. In addition, our open RAN compliant O-RU product series can be easily integrated with different system platforms. With advanced communications technologies and products optimized for speed and reliable performance, WNC aims to increase its presence in the European and global telecommunications market.
High-speed connectivity solutions
WNC’s integrated small cells support 3GPP 5G standalone architecture and Time Division Duplex (TDD) technology, enabling efficient spectrum utilization. In addition, the 4x4 MIMO technology adopted expands transmission bandwidth, meeting the demand for high-speed connectivity. The outdoor product Variant adopts high-efficiency GaN power amplifiers, delivering output power of up to 37 dBm per chain. This ensures efficient power consumption and optimal RF coverage. The indoor product Variant utilizes PoE++ to simplify power delivery and can switch between embedded and external antennae accordingly to meet different deployment requirements. Zero-touch provisioning technology helps streamline deployment processes, significantly enhancing the ease of deploying private 5G networks.
WNC’s AI slim server is designed for high-performance edge AI and 5G virtualized RAN (vRAN) applications. The server is equipped with the latest Intel® Xeon® D processors and embedded Quick Assist Technology (QAT) offloads encryption, decryption, compression and decompression tasks from the CPU, ensuring excellent performance for applications that require intensive computing. All 10G Ethernet ports on the slim server support PTP and SyncE, allowing for reliable synchronization with GNSS for nanosecond-level precision timing. This product is perfect for 5G private network applications in environments such as seaports, airports, smart factories and other smart premises.
WNC’s 800G switch uses the Broadcom Trident 5-X12 solution, which provides twice the bandwidth of the previous Trident 4 while consuming less power. With its embedded AI inference engine, this switch can predict congestion through packet flow inspection and adopt different congestion control algorithms to minimize long-tail latency, making it a great solution for the high computation demand of AI data centers.
AI-driven value-added software services boost home safety
For value-added software driven by AI, WNC offers integrated AI technology, SON (Self-Organizing Network), Wi-Fi mesh networks and Smart QoS application as a complete solution with user-friendly interfaces, allowing users to set up fast, low-latency broadband networks with enterprise-grade security. The Smart QoS application leverages AI to automatically classify and prioritize traffic flows, optimizing network performance and enhancing the customer experience. We’ve also incorporated AI into our Wi-Fi sensing technology. Ideal for home security and health monitoring fields, the technology utilizes AI learning and CSI to detect human shapes and motion through Wi-Fi signals without the use of wearables, providing precise posture analysis, fall detection and other high resolution motion detection such as breathing pattern monitoring. It also uses AI models to conduct sleep and wellness monitoring, making it a perfect choice for smart home health and wellness use cases.
